Thinking about your tired, old decramastic roof and if its worth updating to a far superior product such as Colorbond®?
What are decramastic roofing tiles?
Decramastic roof tiles, also known as decrabond or pressed metal tiles, were a popular roofing material in the 1970s – 80s, made of galvanised steel with a bitumen overlay.
Decramastic tiles are lightweight, but often require ongoing maintenance and eventual replacement due to hail damage, rainstorms and moisture damage. Decramastic roof tiles are light and brittle which makes them weaker than other materials on the market. Because of this they often end up sagging leaving opportunities for water to pool and eventually lead to water leakages. Repairing decramastic tiles is not feasible, that’s why Signature Roofing and Guttering recommend that they be replaced with a much superior product of metal roof sheets. Your home may thank you also with a fresh look that can last for many years to come.
